About

Newcomer to the writing world, Cedric Cason has made the decision to reveal his life’s remarkable journey. This journey encompasses growing up in poverty-stricken projects, being raised by a single mother, and discovering the worth of a father’s presence during his teenage years. From escaping the drug scene and living with a bounty on his head in E. St. Louis to his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps and subsequent betrayal, Cedric candidly discusses the toll it took on his career and family, which left him grappling with thoughts of suicide. But in the face of hardship, he endured, ultimately finding success in both the private sector and the boardroom. Cedric has been married for over 29 years to his wife, Rachel Mwana-Cason, who hails from Nairobi, Kenya. Together, they nurtured their son, Isaac Cason, who is now an 18-year-old college student. This is a journey that only Cedric can articulate, one that traverses the depths of despair and the heights of achievement, ultimately shaping the person he is today. Cedric Cason, a native of the E. St. Louis Metro area, began his journey as a Boy Scout before joining the United States Marine Corps. He received an Honorable Discharge after twelve years of devoted service. Following his tenure in the Marine Corps, Cedric assumed various roles in the private sector. Currently, he serves as a volunteer Chaplain for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and is a member of the California Association for Chaplains. Additionally, Cedric is an active Deacon within his local church. Cedric Cason completed two tours as a Marine Corps Drill Instructor at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) in San Diego, CA. During the interim between these tours, Cedric took on the role of Drill Master at the Non-Commissioned Leadership School, as well as at MCRD San Diego, CA. Following his military service, Cedric transitioned to a Senior Engineering Data Analyst position at Continental Graphics (a Boeing Company). In this role, he successfully planned, organized, and integrated the entire potable water engineering section of Boeing’s 777-200 into the National Aviation Association’s Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC). For the subsequent three decades, Cedric thrived in the private sector, excelling in Procurement, Operations Management, and Corporate Leadership.
